Luminaries will line the streets on Brownwood Drive and Brownwood Court in Bowling Green after dark on Christmas Eve.
Leslie Madaras masterminded the idea for the neighborhood event in 2020. She continues to organize it and with the help of neighbors, each Christmas Eve, the luminaries line the streets.
This year, the lighted milk jugs are expanding onto portions of Lyn and Clark streets to make a full circle to Brownwood Drive.
“Our neighborhood deeply cares for one another, and we have treasured the opportunity to do this together,” said Kristen Lommel. “We are hoping that the Bowling Green community might consider visiting our streets on Christmas Eve after it becomes dark, so they too can enjoy the luminaries.”
Visitors are encouraged to drive slowly or park and walk to take in the joy of the lights.
