The Human Relations Commission events planning committee will meet in the council chamber conference room 111, 305 N. Main St., at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 9, and Friday, Jan. 23. These meetings will be to discuss and plan for upcoming events.
The purpose of the Human Relations Commission is to promote equality for and understanding among all people of the community and provide mediation through conferences and conciliation. As part of these efforts, Bowling Green has taken a proactive stance on enacting laws that protect against discrimination, Chapter 39 of the Bowling Green Codified Ordinances, as well as passing resolutions condemning violence, hate speech, and proclaiming the community as safe and welcoming for all.
