BG Police arrest two men in separate incidents for handling firearms while intoxicated

Two men were charged in separate incidents in Bowling Green over the weekend for handling firearms while intoxicated.

On Saturday (Jan. 17), around 2:30 a.m., Bowling Green Police were called to a business in the 100 block of North Prospect Street for a report of a male with a firearm. Police found Andrew Moreno-Lopez, 23, of Leipsic, with an imprint of a firearm on the right side of his waistband. He was found to have a gun in his waistband, a bar band on his wrist, glossy eyes, and difficult time performing sobriety tests.

On Sunday (Jan. 18), around 11:19 p.m., police were called to an apartment in the 600 block of Frazee Avenue, where residents reported a loud noise, then found a hole in one wall and a bullet in the opposite wall.

Police went to the apartment next door and found Kyle Frazier, 23, who reportedly first told police he had a 20-gauge shotgun, but not a handgun. But police found the hole in the apartment wall, and Frazier reportedly showed them the handgun.

He was cited for handling weapons while intoxicated and discharging a weapon in city limits.
