Wood County District Advisory Council seeks applicants for open seats on Board of Health

The Wood County District Advisory Council (DAC) will meet on Thursday, March 19, at 6:30 p.m. in the conference room at the Wood County Job and Family Services Building, 1928 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green.

The purpose of this meeting is to elect the DAC chair and secretary; make necessary appointments to the Board of Health; receive and consider the annual or special reports from the Board of Health; and make recommendations to the Board of Health or to the department of health in regard to matters for the betterment of health and sanitation within the district or for needed legislation.

There are two Board of Health seats expiring on March 31. The terms for these seats are five years, beginning on April 1 and expiring on March 31, 2031. Therefore, the DAC will review applications for the two seats on the Board of Health.

Interested applicants may apply by sending a cover letter expressing their interest and a resume, which includes their applicable experience to DAC@woodcountyohio.gov; so that the DAC can consider geographic representation across Wood County, indicate the municipality or township where currently residing. Applications must be received by March 18.
