From WOOD COUNTY PARK DISTRICT
Community members are invited to grab their passports from park headquarters or interpretive centers and hit the trails to participate in the hiking challenge. People can track their miles and experience nature at their own pace.
For 2026, there is a bonus challenge. Visit all 21 Wood County Park District parks and preserves, and be on the lookout for the All Parks Challenge signs around park kiosks or parking lot areas of each park. Then, scan the QR code to “stamp” the passport. People who scan all 21 park signs will be eligible to win a prize – from quality walking sticks, exclusive Chessie t-shirts, custom vinyl bags, or hand-illustrated tote bags.
The hiking challenge runs now through May 31. Prizes are available for both challenges while supplies last.
