From WOOD COUNTY PARK DISTRICT
Join the Wood County Park District, Wood County Port Authority and the Friends of the Wood County Parks on Wednesday, April 22, at 10 a.m. for a ribbon-cutting event for the Chessie Circle Trail. Representatives from the project will speak briefly about the trail before cutting the ribbon and officially opening it to the public.
Located in Perrysburg Township, adjacent to the W.W. Knight Nature Preserve, 29530 White Road, Perrysburg, this multi-use trail will serve as a new hub of family-friendly activity. The Chessie Circle Trail will provide a safe location for walkers, runners and cyclists in the area.
Why a multi-use trail? In a 2018 public survey with over 2,000 Wood County respondents, 43.48% of people requested more bike trails and increased access. Phase 1 of the Chessie Circle Trail meets these identified community needs. The Wood County Park District and its partners take seriously their commitment to improving the quality of life for local residents.
The Chessie Circle Trail will be free and open to the public daily from 8 a.m. until 30 minutes past sunset.
