The city of Perrysburg’s annual “Great American Cleanup” will be held this Saturday, April 18, from 9 – 11 a.m. along U.S. 20 and on Sunday, April 26, from 1 – 3 p.m. at Orleans Park.

The April 18 Great American Cleanup, held in collaboration with Perrysburg Township, will focus on the ditches along Route 20 that connect to Grassy Creek and the Maumee River. This high traffic area consistently accumulates trash and debris from surrounding businesses, consumers, and roadways.

Registration for both Great American Cleanup events is available on the  Partners for Clean Streams (PCS) website. PCS is helping with registration and supplies.

Volunteers will work in groups to pick up litter and keep track of the items collected.

PCS works to improve water quality in northwest Ohio by hosting cleanups and other events throughout the year to help ensure that litter does not end up in the waterways.
