‘Explore Owens Day’ offers hands-on look at programs, support services, and campus life

High school students and their families are invited to explore all that Owens Community College has to offer at Explore Owens Day. Visitors will tour the campus and programs during one of five interest-based tour tracks. They will also experience hands-on learning in some of the labs, get assistance with FAFSA and applications, and learn about support services from resource tables. Sessions will also be held to explore Getting Started at Owens, College Credit Plus, Paying for College, Career Planning, and Selective Health Information.

The event will be held Friday, April 17, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Owens Community College – Toledo-area campus, Healthcare Education Center, 7450 Championship Drive West, Perrysburg, and Heritage Hall, 310 2nd St., Perrysburg.

Guests should check in based on their area of interest. Those interested in nursing or health fields, or technical arts-related majors should go to the Healthcare Education Center. Those interested in culinary, business, humanities, transportation technologies, skilled trades, or engineering should go to Heritage Hall.
