From CITY OF BOWLING GREEN
As part of an annual inspection by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), a public portal for community comments regarding the Bowling Green Police Division is open. This initiative aims to help BGPD maintain its international accreditation.
The purpose of the portal is to gather feedback on BGPD’s compliance with CALEA standards, its engagement with the community, the delivery of public safety services, and its overall candidacy for re-accreditation. Comments can include both commendations and concerns.
People are encouraged to note that CALEA is not an investigative body, and the public portal should not be used to submit information for evidence or investigation. While each submission will receive acknowledgement, there will be no further response; however, the information provided will be considered regarding its relevance to compliance with standards and CALEA accreditation principles.
The accreditation process is designed to provide BGPD with valuable insights that support continuous improvement and the pursuit of professional excellence. People can access the portal at https://cimrs2.calea.org/352.
