From OHIO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
The Ohio Department of Transportation is working to improve safety at the intersection of Ohio 199 and Five Point Road in Perrysburg Township. Maintenance forces will convert the intersection of Route 199 at Five Point Road from the existing two-way stop to a four-way/all-way stop on Tuesday, May 5.
The purpose for the change is to improve safety and address a crash trend at the intersection, according to ODOT. The most common type of crash was the result of drivers failing to yield to cross-traffic that was not required to stop.
Message boards are posted at each of the approaches to the intersection. Motorists are reminded of the need for additional caution through the intersection after the change is implemented.
A roundabout is scheduled to be constructed at the intersection when safety funding is available in 2029.
