Tickets available now for HYT’s ‘Be More Chill’

SUBMITTED BY HORIZON YOUTH THEATRE

Horizon Youth Theatre is proud to present “Be More Chill,” directed by Mikayla Trimpey, through special arrangement with Concord Theatricals. With music and lyrics by Joe Iconis and book by Joe Tracz, the musical will be performed at the Town Hall Theater at 24282 Front St, Grand Rapids, Ohio on June 5 & 6 at 7:00 pm and June 7 at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $18 and $15 ($12 each for groups of 5+) and can be purchased on our website or at the door. Seating is general admission.

From Concord Theatricals: “Jeremy Heere is just an average teenager. That is, until he finds out about ‘The Squip,’ a tiny supercomputer that promises to bring him everything he desires most: a date with Christine, an invite to the raddest party of the year and a chance to survive life in his suburban New Jersey high school. But is being the most popular guy in school worth the risk? A hit on Broadway and in the West End, ‘Be More Chill’ is based on the novel by Ned Vizzini.”

A note for parents: The Squip aside, “Be More Chill” is a realistic teen coming-of-age drama with discussions of and some scenes including: drug and alcohol use; physical intimacy; bullying and homophobia. There is also moderate swearing.
