June Lauwers, 95, of Hoytville, passed away at the Wood Haven Health Care Center, Bowling Green, on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. She was born on August 23, 1930, in Tontogany, Ohio the daughter of the late Clarence and Freda (Vollmar) Burditt. She married Henry Lauwers who preceded her in death.
Survivors include her sons, Cecil (Connie) Barker, of Everglades City, Florida, and Randy (Toni) Barker, of North Baltimore, a step son, Henry (Lisa) Lauwers II, FL, and step daughters, Janice (Ted) Boucher, Fl, and Sharon Hale, of MA. Several grandchildren, and a twin sister, May Scott, of Bowling Green. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, a son, Gary Barker, her brothers, Willard, and John Burditt, a sister, Gladys Mossbarger, and two grandsons.
June was a member of the Hoytville United Methodist Church and enjoyed quilting and sewing. She was a wonderful cook and baker, especially during Christmas. June loved to travel and tend her flowers and garden.
Visitation for June will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, from 11-1 pm at the SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore. A funeral service will follow on Tuesday at 1 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Wood County Memory Gardens near Bowling Green. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Hoytville United Methodist Church.
