Robert E. Anderson, 71, of North Baltimore, Ohio passed away at Blanchard Valley Hospital on Saturday, August 8, 2026.
He was born on January 14, 1955, in Bluffton, Ohio to Jim E. and Inez (McCartney) Anderson. Robert married Cathy Herringshaw on May 10, 1975, and she survives.
Robert was a graduate of McComb High School, Class of 1973. He was a US Army veteran who served in Korea. He retired from Hearthside Food Solutions in McComb, after 30 years, was an Ohio State football fan, a Dale Earnhardt fan and loved the movie Max.
Robert is also survived by his daughter, Hope (Joshua) McDonald. Grandchildren, Brandon McDonald, Gavin McDonald and Kale McDonald. Sister, Helen (Mike) Heinze. Brothers, Carl (Sue) Cotterman, Tom Cotterman and Jerry Cotterman.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Richard Anderson, James Anderson, Michael Anderson, Jack Cotterman, Judy Butler, Margret Bean and Frank Cotterman.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 14, 2026, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, where visitation will be held 2 hours (12-2 p.m.) prior to the service. Burial will be in New Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore, where full military rites will be conducted by the North Baltimore American Legion Post 539.
