From WOOD COUNTY HOSPITAL
In recognition of September as Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, Wood County Hospital Wellness Services will offer prostate cancer screenings on two dates this month, giving area men an opportunity to learn more about their prostate health and take a proactive step in their care.
Prostate cancer often has no symptoms in its early stages. When found early, however, it is highly treatable, with more than 99% of men surviving at least five years after diagnosis.
Screenings will be offered:
- Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 5 – 6 p.m.
- Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Both screenings will take place at the Wood County Hospital Medical Office Building, 960 W. Wooster St., Bowling Green, on the second floor in Suite 201.
The screening is open to men ages 40-76 at a reduced cost of $25 per person. The cost includes a prostate exam performed by a Wood County Hospital physician and Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) bloodwork.
