Dorothy Stella Hutton Betts, 96, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away March 5, 2023. Dorothy was born to Marjorie Bell Hutton and James Leith Hutton on August 15, 1926.
Dorothy grew up in east Toledo. A graduate of Harriet Whitney Vocational High School for Girls in 1944, she worked as a bank teller and manuscript typist. She enjoyed playing piano and chord organ. Swimming was a favored exercise. She was a homemaker and mother of five.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Kenneth Eugene Betts, her youngest son, Douglas Neal Betts, and granddaughter Lori Betts.
She is survived by her children David Eugene Betts (Sharon), Dennis Lee Betts, Dean Allen Betts (Joanne), and Cynthia Anne Betts (Allan Franklin), grandchildren Karl Matthew Snyder, Ryan Betts (Robyn), Micah Betts (Amanda), Michelle Betts, Alex Betts, Kevin Betts, Adam Betts (Abigail), Doug Steinman (Kara), and Dan Steinman (Chevas) and great-grandchildren Dylan and Katelyn Steinman and Wesley Betts.
Her funeral service will be held on Monday March 13, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 West Wooster St. Rev. Meg Knape will officiate. Visitation will be held on Monday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m.
