Rebecca Ruth Knight, 82, of Bowling Green, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Oct. 11, 2023.
Becky was born Aug. 8, 1941, in Adario, Ohio, to the late John Robert and Ruth (Westbrook) Hartley. She married Richard Allison Knight, who preceded her in death, on June 28, 1969.
She is survived by her sons, Andrew (Beckisue) Knight of Anderson, Indiana, and Thomas (Simone) Knight of Defiance; and her sister, Rayna Whistler of Greenville. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Drew, Daniel and Allison Knight.
Being a grandmother brought an incredible amount of joy to her life, and she treasured each of her grandchildren deeply.
She was also an accomplished writer, having self-published a book of poems, and she was featured in the anthology, “Who’s Who in American Poetry.”
Becky was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Ronald Hartley.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Bowling Green Manor for the excellent care Becky received over the past several years.
A service honoring Becky’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 23, at Dunn Funeral Home, 408 W. Wooster St., Bowling Green. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Bowling Green.
In lieu of flowers, donations to assist with funeral expenses may be given with envelopes available at the funeral home.
