Embracing the philanthropic spirit of the Women’s Club of Bowling Green, members gathered on Martin Luther King Day at Grounds for Thought to support the Brown Bag Project, a cause dedicated to addressing food insecurity in the community.
The local Meijer store regularly donates plastic bags used in this Day of Service project and 14 club members reinforced approximately 1,800 bags to hold the food and other necessities distributed by the Brown Bag Project.
Civic engagement co-chairs Lynne Comings and Linda Frizzell, and club member Kathy East coordinated this project.
