The local Southeastern Container Co. in Bowling Green is collecting donations of items to send to its sister plant in Asheville, North Carolina. Donations may be dropped off at the Southeastern Container Co. at 307 Industrial Parkway, Bowling Green, anytime between the hours of 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The Fringe Thrift Store, located at the Woodland Mall, 1234 N. Main St., Bowling Green, has partnered with SEC. A donation station has been set up, located at the front mall entrance of the store, next door to the previous Elder-Beerman store.
Items being asked for:
- Canned goods, (pop-tops encouraged)
- Dry foods, crackers, cereal, nuts, etc.
- Peanut butter and jelly
- Manual can openers
- Baby food, formula wipes and diapers
- Pet food, leashes etc.
- Shelf stable milk
- First Aid kits
- Soap, toothpaste, hygiene products, feminine products
- Hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes
- Flashlights, batteries, lanterns, solar powered chargers
- Candles, waterproof matches blankets, tents, sleeping bags, mosquito netting, spray
- Tarps, plastic sheeting for damaged homes
- Clothing, socks, sturdy shoes, waterproof boots
- Rain gear, ponchos, jackets
- Multi tools/pocket knives
- Rope, bungee cords, buckets, trash bags, duct tape
- Small stuffed toys
- Portable toilets/toilet seats with waste bags, camping toilets, solar powered camping showers
Anything that might help these people improve their living conditions is appreciated.
