Wood County Educational Service Center gets grant to prevent youth substance abuse

The Wood County Educational Service Center’s Prevention Coalition was recently awarded a OneOhio Recovery Foundation Grant totaling $9,611. The grant was awarded for the proposed Wood County Prevention Coalition Sustainability Consultant Project.

The WCESC has contracted with Tina Bradley as a prevention consultant during the 12-month project which began Nov. 1.

This award was part of more than $51 million allocated for the 2024 Regional Grant Cycle and was selected from 1,442 funding requests totaling $581 million from organizations statewide.

Grantees were chosen in a collaborative process that included input from the OneOhio Regions, Expert Panel, Grant Oversight Committee and Board of Directors.

The Wood County Prevention Coalition unites compassionate community members working together to coordinate high quality programs for the prevention of youth substance abuse in Wood County.
