Warrant issued for man who allegedly grabbed woman by throat in downtown bar

A warrant has been issued for a man who allegedly assaulted a woman in a downtown bar in Bowling Green on Friday (Feb. 7).

Bowling Green Police responded to the bar in the 100 block of North Main Street around 2 a.m., after Zachary Janowicz, 20, of Lambertville, Michigan, reportedly grabbed a woman by the throat, causing her to fall to the ground.

The woman and multiple witnesses in the bar told police that Janowicz was harassing another female, when the alleged victim told him to leave her friend alone. Police noted the redness on the woman’s neck.

One bar patron took video right after the alleged assault, of Janowicz being restrained by multiple males in the bar before taking off running southbound down Main Street.
