From BOWLING GREEN STATE UNIVERSITY
Bowling Green State University will celebrate 10 years of supporting students with learning differences through its Falcon Learning Your Way – or FLY – Program on Wednesday, March 25, at 3 p.m., in the north atrium at Jerome Library.
As one of the only universities in the nation to offer specific programming for neurodiverse students, BGSU has steadily grown the FLY Program over the last decade, from serving just 18 students in 2016 to a record 343 students in Fall 2025 alone. Since its inception, the BGSU FLY Program has helped nearly 600 students from 26 states navigate the college experience, underscoring how Bowling Green is meeting a need for individualized support in higher education.
In the BGSU FLY Program, students meet weekly with the same learning specialist to develop time management and organizational skills, learning strategies, self-advocacy, and other techniques designed to help them become independent learners. FLY Program students also receive priority access to tutoring services for first and second-year classes, as well as math and writing.
