BGSU to host Ohio Missing Persons Day program on Saturday, May 16

From BOWLING GREEN STATE UNIVERSITY

As a collaborative partner of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, Bowling Green State University will serve as host for the state’s annual Ohio Missing Persons Day program from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, at the Perry Field House, 801 N. Mercer Road, Bowling Green.

Presented by the Ohio Attorney General’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the yearly event brings together families with missing loved ones, advocates and law enforcement professionals from across Ohio to raise awareness about missing- and unidentified-persons cases throughout the state. The program also serves as an opportunity for families of missing persons to connect with state, local and federal resources to help find their loved ones.

BGSU is home to one of three BCI labs in the state that conduct laboratory and investigative services free of charge to Ohio’s criminal justice agencies.

The University also partners with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office on the Center for Justice Research, which supports and explores criminal justice-based research and policy initiatives to serve all of Ohio, and the Center for the Future of Forensic Science, which provides hands-on learning for students and advances research and professional training in forensic science and law enforcement.
