From LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS OF OHIO
Members of the League of Women Voters of Ohio and the Ohio AFL-CIO are teaming up for two “honk and wave” events on Monday, Nov. 9, at noon and 3 p.m., outside of the Lucas and Wood County boards of election.
Local members of the LWVO and the Ohio AFL-CIO are holding the two events to show their appreciation for the work of election workers who faced difficult and unforeseen circumstances in 2026 and yet ensured every vote counted.
Election officials, staff, poll workers, and election volunteers power Ohio’s elections. Their work to count every eligible vote and keep elections secure is essential to democracy.
Members of the Toledo and Bowling Green communities are encouraged to join the group or drive by to give a “honk” and a “wave” to show their thanks.
