Perrysburg resident says Brenna Reynolds is ‘the Wood County commissioner we need right now’

As Wood County faces critical decisions that will impact our community for decades, voters need to ask themselves a fundamental question: Is a single-party local government truly serving the diverse interests of our community? Currently, all three seats on the Wood County Board of Commissioners are held by Republicans. While one-party control can produce consensus, it too often leads to echo chambers – especially at a time when Wood County is at a major crossroads in its continued development.

As anyone who’s attended a recent zoning committee meeting could tell you, voters across Wood County are ready for change. Many are deeply unhappy with how industrial decisions have been made, most notable the secrecy around existing and proposed data centers. From concerns about massive energy and water demands to questions about land use, noise, and long-term taxpayer value, residents have routinely felt kept in the dark, with critical decisions moving forward long before the public had a real chance to weigh in.

When the entire commission shares the same political background, tough questions go unasked, and perceived economic development prioritized over community impact. If we want things to be done differently – and if we want the voices of everyday residents to actually be heard an respected – we cannot simply elect another like-minded Republican.

Brenna Reynolds offers the fresh, balanced perspective our county desperately needs. As a candidate for Wood County commissioner, she brings a commitment to transparent leadership and accountable planning. As a twice-elected Rossford City Council member, she champions genuine community engagement. Brenna understands that industrial growth must be managed responsibly and that major decisions like data center proposals require total transparency, public input, and rigorous scrutiny from the start.

To build a stronger, more accountable Wood County, we need balance and leadership that actively listens to constituents. Brenna Reynolds is the Wood County commissioner we need right now. I encourage my fellow voters to choose balance and transparency – and vote for Brenna Reynolds.
