The internationally acclaimed Tacet(i) Ensemble will embark on a 2026 United States tour featuring performances, collaborations with university communities, and a program of newly commissioned works by leading contemporary composers. The tour includes appearances at Bowling Green State University, Cornell University, Peabody Conservatory, University of California, Berkeley, and University of Texas at San Antonio.

A highlight of the tour will take place at BGSU on Monday, March 30, at 8 p.m., in Bryan Hall, in the Moore Musical Arts Center, where Tacet(i) Ensemble will present a free concert featuring world premieres and recent works commissioned specifically for the ensemble. The program includes new pieces by Marianthi Papalexandriapalexandri, Ken Ueno, Piyawat Louilarpprasert, and Siravith Kongbandalsuk, composers whose work represents a diverse cross-section of contemporary music.

In addition to the performance, Tacet(i) Ensemble will engage directly with the next generation of composers through a reading session of student compositions on Tuesday, March 31, offering emerging artists the opportunity to hear their works performed and receive feedback from the ensemble’s members.

The tour celebrates a major milestone for Tacet(i) Ensemble following its recent recognition as recipient of the 2025 Ernst von Siemen Foundation Prize, which they were awarded alongside renowned conductor Simon Rattle. The award recognizes outstanding contributions to contemporary music and performance.

Known for their adventurous programming and deep commitment to new music, Tacet(i) Ensemble has established itself as a leading voice in contemporary chamber performance. Their collaborations with composers around the world have resulted in a growing repertoire of works that explore extended instrumental techniques, interdisciplinary performance, and new sonic possibilities.

Through performances, workshops, and residencies across the United States, the ensemble’s 2026 tour continues their mission to foster dialogue between composers, performers, and audiences while expanding the boundaries of contemporary chamber music.
