Unofficial vote tallies for local candidates on the primary ballot in Wood County

Following are the unofficial vote counts for local candidates in today’s primary election on Wood County ballots. There were no contested local races. The Wood County Board of Elections will meet on May 19 to certify the vote counts.

The Democratic and Republican candidates will face off in the general election on Nov. 3.

DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATES

75th District House of Representatives

  • Democrat Jake Kielmeyer (who has since been replaced on the ballot by Rick Rettig of Perrysburg) – 5,810

  • Democrat Joel M. Kuhlman, Perrysburg – 7,020

Wood County Probate Court Judge

  • Democrat Megan E. Newlove, Bowling Green – 7009

Wood County Commissioner

  • Democrat Brenna Reynolds, Rossford – 6,954

Wood County Auditor

  • Democrat Mark Wongrowski, Bowling Green – 6,835

REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES

Wood County Common Pleas Judge

  • Republican Paul A. Dobson, Perrysburg – 7,517

Wood County Probate Court Judge

Voters throughout the county decided the following issues on the May ballot:

Otsego Local School District – income tax of 0.25%, for current expenses. Yes: 1,135;  No: 900

Milton Township – Renewal of 1.5 mills for five years, for general construction, reconstruction, resurfacing and repairs of streets, roads and bridges. Yes: 104; No: 59

Lake Township Road District – Renewal of 1 mill for five years, for general construction, reconstruction, resurfacing and repairs of streets, road and bridges. Yes: 532; No: 337

Northwest Wood Ambulance District – Renewal of 6 mills, increase of 0.75 mills, for three years, for 24-hour ambulance service and emergency medical services. Yes: 604;  No: 363
