Two local Girl Scout troops host April Awakenings craft show and food drive

PERRYSBURG—Girl Scout Troop 10136 of Perrysburg and Troop 11550 of Waterville invite the community to attend their April Awakenings Craft Show on April 12 at Zoar Lutheran Church, 314 E. Indiana Ave.

This is the second year for the April Awakenings Craft Show that runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission into the 40-vendor craft show is free, and the Girl Scouts encourage guests to bring a non-perishable food item for donation. All food items collected at the craft show will be donated to the Perrysburg Christians United Food Pantry to help fend off food insecurity in the community.

Both troops hosting this event have participated in Girl Scouts for many years and are high school-aged with impressive goals. In addition to supporting the local community, they aim to receive their Gold Awards – the highest award in Girl Scouting. The troops will offer a bake sale and craft table at the event. Funds raised at their bake sale and craft table, and through vendor deposits, will help support both troops in their efforts to achieve their Gold Awards and support their combined trip to camp in Northern Michigan this summer.

Vendors who plan to participate in this event will showcase offerings such as Permanent Jewelry, Scentsy, vintage goods, handcrafted soaps, baked goods, woodworking, Mary Kay, freeze-dried candy, crocheted crafts, fresh roasted coffee beans, custom crafts, and more. A food truck will be available in the parking lot from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
