The BGSU Office of Sustainability and First Presbyterian Church have been working together for a fall electronics recycling drive that will take place on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. The collection drive will take place in the parking lot of the Senior Center, 140 S. Grove St. Volunteers will unload vehicles in this drive-thru style event.

People will have the opportunity to recycle unwanted, outdated, or broken electronics of many kinds in an environmentally-friendly way through the partnership with AIM eCycling. This includes certified destruction of hard drives and data-bearing devices.

Most items with a cord or that are battery operated can be recycled. Other items that can be recycled include computers and IT equipment, wire, cables, cords, batteries of all kinds, speakers, radios, phones, AV equipment, video games, small household appliances, power tools, light ballasts (no-PCBs), fans, and more.

No tube TVs or CRT screens will be accepted at the event. These can be properly disposed of for a fee during business hours at ERG Environmental Services, located at 527 E. Woodland Cir, Bowling Green. Only flatscreen TVs or monitors will be accepted at the event. Large appliances will not be accepted.

The whole community is invited to attend the free event. Volunteers will unload everything.
