Downtown Grand Rapids to host Christmas open house, Nov. 22 – 23

The community is invited to make merry memories that begin in Downtown Grand Rapids this Christmas season. There will be a Christmas open house on Saturday, Nov. 22, and Sunday, Nov. 23. People can stroll Front Street and take in the sights of over 25 different locally-owned shops and restaurants decorated for the season.

Entertainment will include: horse-drawn wagon rides; gingerbread house decorating; roasting s’mores; Ice Creations ice sculpting demonstrations; live reindeer; and live strolling entertainment including vocalists Aaron Hertzfeld, Mark Sarkan, and Mary Dick, Sweet Adeline a capella groups, “Note to Self” and the Pride of Toledo Chorus, as well as an evening outdoor performance of the acoustic duo The Wasteland Poets in the Lincoln Street Courtyard.

The event will run on Saturday, Nov. 22, from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 23, from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. See below for a full schedule of events.
