PEMBERVILLE—Beeker’s General Store, located at 226 E. Front St., is set to host its 8th annual Sampling Saturday, this Saturday, Jan. 31, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Beeker’s and The Gathering Place (next door) will host a variety of sampling stations featuring an assortment of food items and beverages that are available at the general store. This year’s lineup includes BBQ sauces, infused honey, dip mixes, jams & jellies, pickles, mustards, soup mixes, coffees, teas, sodas and more.
Local Community Chefs will present their recipes and entries as a part of this year’s competition. All recipes feature an ingredient from the store. Among this year’s recipes for patrons to sample are Cherry Almond Granola Muffins, Harvest Pork Loin, Raspberry Amaretto Kuchen Bars, Miss Aimee’s Seasoned Potatoes, and Cherry Jalapeno Puffs.
Patrons get to sample and vote for their favorite recipes as a part of the festivities.
Culinary vendors will be on hand, including CRB’s Honey, The Fremont Cutlery Co., Country Grains Breads, and Poppin’ George’s Kettle Corn.
