Nancy Jane Ketner

Nancy Jane (McDonnell) Ketner, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and devoted member of her community, passed away on March 4, 2026, at the age of 92. She was born on April 19, 1933, and spent many cherished years in Bowling Green, Ohio, where she created a life full of love and dedication.

Nancy graduated from Bowling Green High School and went on to work as a bookkeeper for Dick Wilson Pontiac Buick GMC. In addition to her professional life, she was a dedicated homemaker, fulfilling her role with grace and warmth. Nancy was a loyal parishioner of St. Aloysius Church, where she volunteered her time to help others in need, particularly through her efforts with St. Vincent de Paul.

In 1955, Nancy married the love of her life, Harry Sherman. Together, they raised their family with love and compassion. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; parents, Edmond and Kathryn McDonnell; and her sisters Sally and Phyliss.

She is survived by her children: Mark, Beth (Mark), Kevin, Brent, Brian (Lori), and Christopher (Leah); 15 beloved grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Nancy’s legacy of love will continue to touch the lives of those who knew her.

Nancy enjoyed gardening, had a talent for sewing and was a fan of the Green Bay Packers.

The family would like to thank the nurses and aides at St. Clare as well as the staff at Bridge Hospice for their exceptional care of Nancy.

A Funeral Mass for Nancy Ketner will be held at 11:00 AM on April 16, 2026, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Bowling Green. Burial will immediately follow at Wood County Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the St. Aloysius School Scholarship Program.
