From BG Thrift Fest
The BG Thrift Fest returns to the Wood County Fairgrounds, 13800 W. Poe Road, on Saturday, April 18, from noon to 5 p.m. This year’s event, the third BG Thrift Fest, moves to the Junior Fair Building for more space and parking at the building.
This year’s theme is 2000s Nostalgia, said founder and organizer Meara Holden. There are more than 40 vendors scheduled. There will also be food trucks galore including Popp’n Kettlecorn, Big Daddy’s Sausage House & More, Big House BBQ, Mimi’s Lemonade (& cold coffee), Wrappin’ and Rollin’ with gyros, gourmet wraps, loaded fries and burgers, and Float My Boat offerig dirty soda and Alani,
According to Holden, there are two required forms of payment, which all vendors will accept on Saturday: cash and Venmo. Some vendors may accept more options. If paying in cash, small bills are greatly appreciated.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a reusable bag or tote because vendors do not provide bags. There are no communal fitting rooms, though some vendors may have their own pop-up dressing room.
By supporting BG Thrift Fest and shopping secondhand, guests are joining the fight against fast fashion and textile waste.
