From EASTERSEALS NORTHWEST OHIO
Easterseals Northwest Ohio has been granted provider approval from the Ohio Department of Medicaid and will begin providing disability services in May. The organization will initially focus on serving Wood County.
Easterseals Northwest Ohio is part of Easterseals Community Network, which also includes two service providers in Indiana.
“When we learned about the needs of communities in Wood County and other areas of northwest Ohio, we saw an opportunity to offer new choices and opportunities for individuals and families to live their best lives,” said Donna K. Elbrecht, CEO of Easterseals Community Network.
While pursuing provider approval, Easterseals Northwest Ohio established a local advisory council and began hiring local staff.
“We know it’s vital to have local leaders and local staff to be successful,” Elbrecht said. “Day-to-day operations will be handled locally, with administrative support from our Easterseals Community Network team.”
The Easterseals Northwest Ohio leadership team includes:
- Kelley McEwen, assistant director of residential supports
- Joe Bernyk, community relations and development director
- Charity Elmore, registered nurse
The founding board of directors for Easterseals Northwest Ohio will be:
