BG Parks & Recreation will host the second session, focusing on summer, on Monday, July 27, from 10 – 11:30 a.m. at Wintergarden/St. Johns Nature Preserve.

From CITY OF BOWLING GREEN

The Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department invites the community to explore what’s happening in nature at Wintergarden in this free three-part series featuring the changes in plants and wildlife throughout the spring, summer, and fall. The second session, focusing on summer, will be on Monday, July 27, from 10 – 11:30 a.m. at Wintergarden/St. John’s Nature Preserve.

As summer reaches its peak, the prairies show off with bursts of colorful wildflowers and butterflies. Lush woodlands provide shady places for mammals and birds, while the wetland supports mating dragon and damselflies. The community is invited to join BG Parks and Recreation to search for these and other highlights of the season.

This program is led by Kim High through her Nature by High project, a free service with the vision of “enriching lives and spirits through nature and community.”
