It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bruce W. Borner, born on January 21, 1941, in Neptune, New Jersey. Bruce left this world on October 28, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, at The Willows in Bowing Green. He was a loving husband to Carol (McGee) Borner, whom he married on October 8, 1966.
Bruce was a dedicated father to Todd (Tammy) Borner and Amy (Dion) Springstead, and a proud grandfather to Charleigh, Kaeleb (Savanah), Jordyn and Kameron. Also a great-grandfather to Bryson and Kian. He is survived by his sister Lynn Long. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, William and Evelyn (Dietz) Borner.
After graduating from Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School, Bruce proudly served in the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed a fulfilling career as a designer at Owens Illinois, where he worked for over three decades before retiring in 1995.
An outdoor enthusiast at heart, Bruce had a deep love for being near the water. When he was younger he loved to sail and iceboat. Later in life he cherished any time he was able to go fishing and canoeing with his children and grandchildren.
