The Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce will be delivering Welcome Bags to the new teachers in the BG School District in lieu of the Annual New Teacher Luncheon.
“Our New Teacher Luncheon has always been a special event that gives us the opportunity to be introduced to these new instructors and make them feel welcome in our community,” said BG Chamber Executive Director Mary Hinkelman. “This year presented its obstacles, so we will not have the in person program that included introductions, lunch and a guest speaker. In lieu of the event, each teacher will receive a Welcome Bag of gift cards and swag we know they will find useful. This is all made possible with sponsorships of our local financial institutions. We all value our relationships with our schools, especially each of the educators and this event always provides a way for us to talk about some of the ways we can collaborate and show our support.”
New Teacher Welcome Bags were made possible through sponsorships from:
- Farmers & Merchants State Bank – Mike Rywalski
- State Bank – Mark Cassin
- Fifth Third Bank – Jerid Friar
- Premier Bank – Tari Christoff
- Huntington Bank – Cathy Walker, Jim Phares
- The Henry County Bank – Bill Wendt, Deb Russell
- Chase Bank – Rich Campbell
- Glass City Federal Credit Union – Lynn Eicher
- PNC Bank – Kristopher Kelley
The chamber also received donations from Staples of Bowling Green and Biggby Coffee. Many thanks to each of these community minded organizations.
