Pablo Castro Jr

Pablo Castro Jr., a father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away on January 14, 2025, at the age of 87. He was born on September 12, 1937, in Loredo, Texas, to the late Pablo Sr. and Atanacia (Garcia) Castro.  He married Petra (Trevino) Castro and she preceded him in death.

Pablo was known for his incredible handiwork, spending 33 years as a carpenter at Bowling Green State University. He enjoyed working, including fixing lawnmowers, small engines, and any project that involved woodworking. He was a hard worker, devote parishioner of St. Aloysius, jokester and an extremely generous person. He was especially proud of all his children’s and grandchildren’s accomplishments.

He is survived by his sons, Dan (Tracy) Castro and Pablo A. Castro; his siblings, Jesusa and Gilberto, as well as his many grandchildren: Winter, Sofia, Pablo IV, Jai-Lin, Daniel, Phoenix, Calissa, Alliyah, Zachariah, Jacob, Caleb, and Isaac; and great-grandfather to Ariella, Faith, Colton, Larissa, Camden, and Xavier.
 
Along with his wife and parents, Pablo was preceded in death by several siblings: Francisco, Josefina, Reyes, Juanita, and Cruz. His generous spirit and willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need will forever be remembered.
 
Visitation for Pablo will be held on Wednesday, January, 22, 2025 from 4:00 until the time of a Rosary service at 7:00 pm.  A funeral mass for him will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 150 W Enterprise Street, Bowling Green.  A committal service will immediately follow at St. Rose Cemetery, Perrysburg.
