Welcome BG to host annual Social Service Agency Expo on Jan. 24

Welcome BG will hold its annual Social Service Agency Expo on Friday, Jan. 24, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Veterans Memorial Building in Bowling Green City Park, 520 Conneaut Ave.

More than 20 non-profit agencies will be present to talk about services they offer, such as the City of Bowling Green, Job and Family Services, Children’s Resource Center, Wood County Health Department, The Cocoon, Wood County Child Support Enforcement Agency, Harbor, GLCAP, YWCA, Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity of Wood County, Ohio Means Jobs, and the Ohio Consumers Council.

The Wood County Health Department will have its Mobile Health Center at the expo, offering:

  • Blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar checks provided by a registered nurse.
  • At-home COVID test kits.
  • Hygiene supplies.
  • Health education.
  • Community resources.

Walk-ins are welcome, or people may schedule a time at 419-352-8402. No insurance, identification, or payment needed.

The expo is open to the public, no admission will be charged, and there will be free food.

The event is being sponsored by the Wood County Health Department, Gas and Express Mart, and Dairy Queen Grill & Chill.
