Children plant pinwheels in front of First United Methodist Church in Bowling Green last year.

With rainy weather predicted for Friday morning (4/12), the event to recognize Child Abuse Awareness Monday has been postponed until Monday (4/15). The staff of Wood County Children Services will hold the annual Pinwheel for Prevention event on Monday, at 9 a.m. in front of the First United Methodist Church, 1528 E. Wooster St., Bowling Green.

They will plant 948 pinwheels to represent the number of investigations completed and families assisted in 2023.
