Emil E. George, 84, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away July 15, 2019. He was born August 11, 1934 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Gust and Elizabeth (Frehauf) George. He married Lois (Warren) on June 13, 1954 and she preceded him in death May 7, 2008.
Emil was a 1953 graduate of Bowling Green High School where we was a stand-out football player. He still currently holds six records for football at Bowling Green High School. He received a scholarship to play football at The Ohio State University for Coach Woody Hayes. He played one year at Ohio State and suffered a neck injury, ending his football career. He continued to love sports throughout his entire life and loved bowling and playing golf.
Emil worked as the juvenile probation officer for Wood County until 1970. He worked for several years as a carpenter and pipe fitter and finished his career as a stationary engineer at Textile Leather.
He is survived by his daughter Terrie Lynn (Alan) Weaver of Bowling Green, grandson Joseph Weaver of Bowling Green, sister Mary Molnar of Toledo, Ohio, brother Gus George of Phoenix, Arizona and special friend Nancy George of Bowling Green.
He was preceded in death by his sister Irene Lattimore.
Services for Emil will be private for the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dunn Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
