BG man arrested after entering home on South Prospect Street

Bowling Green Police responded to a call Wednesday, around 6 p.m., for a man entering a home in the 300 block of South Prospect Street.

The resident told police that she came home to find Devin Brownlee, 29, Bowling Green, sitting on her couch, eating her Chex Mix. He reportedly laughed and told the resident that she should not leave her house unlocked.

The resident told police that the front door does not lock currently due to damage. According to the police report, the resident said Brownlee keeps coming to her home when she is not there.

The resident told Brownlee to leave, and he went outside.

Police found Brownlee laying down on the ground in front of the house. Police checked an orange juice container near Brownlee, and found that it smelled of alcohol. He reportedly didn’t respond when officers tried to talk with him.

When the fire division got to the scene, Brownlee stated that his mother lives at the rear of the residence. He was charged with felony criminal trespassing, and taken to the Wood County jail.
