BG man arrested for allegedly violating protection order

A Bowling Green man was arrested Friday for violating a temporary protection order of a woman he reportedly assaulted days earlier.

Bowling Green Police were called to an apartment in the 400 block of Lehman Avenue around 9:54 a.m., after a father reported that Isaac Rider’s vehicle was parked near his daughter’s apartment.

The father told police that his daughter had recently been assaulted by Rider, 23, of Bowling Green. A temporary protection order had been issued for his daughter. The father said he tried to text and call his daughter, but got no response.

Police knocked on the apartment door several times, but got no answer. Officers then knocked on the bedroom window, and the woman came to the window and agreed to come to the door.

She initially denied that Rider was in the apartment. However, when police asked her to step into the hallway, she told them that Rider was inside.

Rider was charged and transported to the Wood County Jail.
