BG man arrested for domestic violence, felonious assault and child endangerment

A Bowling Green man was arrested Thursday after he reportedly assaulted multiple family members. Juan Trujillo Jr., 51, was charged with three counts of domestic violence, felonious assault and child endangerment, and taken to Wood County Jail.

Bowling Green Police Division responded around 9 p.m., for a domestic violence in progress in the 1500 block of East Clough Street. Officers arrived to find three victims outside the apartment. One woman was bleeding heavily from her chin.

Police found Trujillo inside the apartment. He reportedly told police he punched one woman because she provoked him. According to the police report, Trujillo also stated that he forcibly held a child in a cold shower in an attempt to calm her down.

One of the victims was taken to Wood County Hospital, with a bilateral nasal fracture and large goose egg on the side of her face. She told police that Trujillo began beating her when she tried to stop him from holding the child in the cold shower. She also told police that Trujillo had tried to push another family down the stairs, but she was able to stop him.

A temporary protection order was issued to keep Trujillo from staying at the apartment and keep him from contacting his victims. The family was given information on local services for domestic violence victims.
