BG plans lunches in the park on Fridays this summer

Bowling Green will again hold its weekly lunches in the park this summer.

The lunches, sponsored by First Federal Bank, will be held on Fridays, in the Martin and Kiwanis shelters in City Park – rain or shine. Food from Bowling Green restaurants will be served, while musical entertainment is provided.

The bands will begin at 11:30 a.m., and the food will be available for purchase from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Anyone wanting more information may call 419-354-6223 or visit www.bgohio.org/parks.

Following is a list of the lunches planned:

  • June 7 – Kabob It, with Tim Tegge performing on guitar. Special guest hosts will be Mayor Dick Edwards and his wife, Nadine.
  • June 14 – Sundae Station, with Ragtime Rick & Banjo Betty performing, sponsored by Brookdale.
  • June 21 – Beckett’s Burger Bar, with Gene Parker Trio performing, sponsored by Gateway Bowling Green.
  • June 28 – Sam B’s, with Jeff Tucker performing on guitar, sponsored by BG Community Foundation.
  • July 12 – Qdoba, with Tapestry performing on harp and guitar, sponsored by Bowling Green Exchange Club.
  • July 19 – Call of the Canyon Cafe, with Dan Cadaret on guitar, sponsored by Montessori School of Bowling Green.
  • July 26 – Pagliai’s Pizza, with Spittin’ Image performing, sponsored by Joann Amos Realtor and Danberry Realtors.
