BG Police arrest driver for alleged OVI and firearm; passenger for having outstanding warrant

Bowling Green Police pulled over a vehicle Sunday, around 1:47 a.m., after reportedly seeing the motorist driving without headlights on and sitting at a green light for an extended period.

The car was pulled over as it was northbound on South Main Street, near Lehman Avenue. The two people in the car said they had come from bars and were headed home.

The driver, Jace Holland, 21, Fostoria, was arrested for driving without headlights, driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.124, and having weapons while intoxicated.

As he was being arrested, Holland told police there was a firearm in the vehicle. Police found a loaded 9mm Ruger pistol with 10 ammo rounds in the magazine.

The passenger in the vehicle reportedly told police she didn’t have her identification. When police found her ID in the vehicle, they found she had a warrant for her arrest. Nevaeh Peck, 19, Findlay, was cited for falsification.

Both Holland and Peck were taken to Wood County Jail.
