Bowling Green Police arrested a Tiffin man for allegedly raping a Bowling Green woman on Saturday.

Mario Antenor, 23, of Tiffin, was taken to Wood County Jail.

Police responded to a call at 3:43 a.m. Saturday from an apartment in the 2000 block of Napoleon Road. When officers arrived, they were met by a friend of the victim, who was visibly angry and had a knife in her hand, according to the police report.

The victim said she was sitting on a loveseat in the apartment with Antenor when he allegedly got on top of her and put his hands around her neck. The victim said he repeatedly told Antenor that she did not want to have sex with him. He allegedly raped her while choking her, telling her that she liked it.

The victim agreed to go to the hospital to have a sexual assault kit completed, and police collected evidence from the apartment.
