BG Police arrest woman for OVI after she repeatedly hit vehicle then skipped the scene

Bowling Green Police arrested a woman Thursday (April 12) for driving under the influence after she reportedly hit a vehicle multiple times, then was found in a city parking lot with an open container of alcohol and no pants on.

Jillian Van Seghbroeck, 23, of Hoytville, was charged with OVI, with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.144. She was taken to Wood County Jail.

Police responded to the hit-skip crash on North Grove Street, near the intersection with Conneaut Avenue around 7 p.m.

A short time later, police dispatch reported another call had been received that the hit and run vehicle was in a city parking lot downtown. As police approached, they could see a lot of damage to the vehicle.

After the driver put her pants on, she reportedly told police her vehicle was damaged when she hit a deer. She later admitted to the hit-skip crash, according to the police report.
