BG police dog gets his man ending early morning pursuit

Bowling Green Police canine named Arci

On Aug. 10, at approximately 4 a.m., the Bowling Green Police Division was notified about a pursuit of a motorcycle that began in Sandusky County that was heading toward Bowling Green. 

The driver of the motorcycle entered Bowling Green on E. Wooster St. from I-75.  Shortly after entering the city, the driver abandoned the motorcycle at the dead-end of Williams St. and fled on foot. 

Officers set up a perimeter and waited for the Bowling Green K-9, Arci to arrive on scene.  The K-9 unit was able to locate the subject hiding in a wooded area.  The subject was taken into custody without further incident.

Christopher Parsil (33, from Woodville) was arrested for operation in willful wanton disregard of safety and failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer.

Parsil was lodged in the Wood County Justice Center.
