BG Women’s Club to learn about state school funding from Dawn Shinew

Dawn Shinew, dean of the College of Education and Human Development, poses with members of the class of 2021.

GFWC Women’s Club of Bowling Green will meet on Oct. 4, at 7 p.m., at First Christian Church at the corner of Poe and Haskins roads, in friendship and service to the community. The program for the evening will focus on state school funding presented by Dr. Dawn Shinew of the League of Women Voters.

Entertainment for the evening will be presented by members of the BGSU School of Music.

The Women’s Club will hold a brief business meeting to update and plan ongoing club projects including the upcoming Holiday Art and Craft Show.

The designated charity for the evening is The Cocoon; the club will make a donation of $150 to the project on behalf of members.

Anyone interested in learning about the opportunities for service provided by GFWC Women’s Club of Bowling Green to the community and beyond, or who would like to attend a meeting, can consult the Women’s Club website at www.womensclubbg.org or any club member.
