Counselors available at BGHS after student suicide

Counselors are available at Bowling Green High School today after a sophomore reportedly took his life on Sunday.

In a letter to parents and guardians, Superintendent Francis Scruci said school and Children’s Resource Center counselors would be available throughout the day.

The resources will be available for students and staff.

“That’s one of the things we forget. The adults are just as affected by this,” Scruci said.

Counselors will be made available for as long as needed, he said.

“We’re trying to keep the day as normal as possible,” Scruci said.
